What curse did Ravana get?
Ravana found many curses in his life, but mainly the curse of six people, which led to his end. These include King Anranya, Shiva’s vehicle Nandi, Mandodari’s sister Maya, an unknown woman, Nalakuber (son of Kubera) and sister Shurpanakha.
King Anranya’s curse
King Anranya cursed Ravana that a person would be born in his own dynasty who would kill Ravana. Anranya was from the Ikshvaku dynasty of Lord Rama and fought a fierce battle with Ravana, in which he died. King Anranya cursed Ravana in his last moments.
Curse of maya
After the death of his wife’s sister Maya’s husband, Mandodari’s sister, Ravana asked her to walk with him. Then Maya cursed her and said, “You tried to disturb my sattva for your lust, due to which my husband died. Now, work and lust towards a woman will be the cause of your death.”
Nandi curse
Nandi cursed Ravana that the monkey would destroy him because Ravana had mocked the form of Nandi after meeting Lord Shiva on Mount Kailash. Due to Nandi’s curse, Hanuman burnt Ravana’s gold Lanka to ashes and the monkey army was responsible for the end of Ravana.

A woman’s curse
Ravana once insulted a beautiful woman while traveling in her Pushpak plane, due to which she cursed that only a woman would cause her death.
Curse of Nal Kubera
Ravana tried to kidnap Rambha, wife of Nal Kubera, son of his sister Shurpanakha. Nal Kubera cursed her that if she would force a woman or touch her against her wish, her head would be divided into seven pieces.

Curse of Shurpanakha
Shurpanakha cursed Ravana and said, “I will destroy you.” This curse was given to Ravana’s sister Shurpanakha after the murder of her husband Vidyutjivha. Under the influence of this curse, Shurpanakha became hostile to Rama and Lakshmana and instigated Ravana to kidnap Sita, resulting in the collapse of Ravana.
