Actress Sharvari Wagh has opened up about her childhood fascination with Rajshri films, recalling how she would recreate their dialogues and dance sequences in her living room while dreaming of one day becoming a heroine in a Rajshri production.
Sharvari, who stars opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in Sooraj R. Barjatya’s upcoming musical family entertainer Yeh Prem Mol Liya, shared an emotional note following the launch of the film’s title track in Mumbai.
Reflecting on the personal significance of working with Rajshri Productions and Sooraj Barjatya, Sharvari wrote on social media, “To be a Rajshri heroine, directed by Sooraj sir, with music by Himesh sir and Ayushmann as my Prem… there are some dreams you don’t quite know how to put into words. Yeh Prem Mol Liya is one of those dreams!”
She recalled growing up watching Rajshri films and performing scenes from them for her family.
“I grew up watching Rajshri films and always dreamt of being the heroine on that screen. I would come home and recreate all the dialogues and dance steps in my living room for my Aai, Baba & Kastu.. my family has been my first audience. To have them sitting in the audience and watching me live that dream means more to me than I can express!” she added.
Sharvari also thanked audiences for their response to the title track and announced that the song will be released on November 27, 2026, alongside the film’s theatrical release.
At the music launch, the actress spoke about the influence Rajshri songs have had on her since childhood. She recalled watching popular songs such as Didi Tera Devar Deewana and Maiya Yashoda and said Barjatya shared stories and behind-the-scenes details about their making while they were shooting the new film.
According to Sharvari, those conversations helped her understand that Rajshri songs are not simply about choreography. They are designed to convey family emotions and contribute to the progression of the story.
Yeh Prem Mol Liya marks Sharvari’s first collaboration with Sooraj Barjatya. The film pairs her with Ayushmann, who plays the latest character associated with the iconic Rajshri “Prem” persona.
The film also stars Anupam Kher, Supriya Pathak, Seema Pahwa and Saumya Tandon. Produced by Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films, Yeh Prem Mol Liya is scheduled to release in cinemas on November 27, 2026.
