RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat expressed concern over unrest in neighboring countries. He emphasized democratic solutions, warning of active disruptive forces in India. He also spoke on the challenges of Naxalism, climate change and development models.
Nagpur : Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat expressed concern over the growing upheaval in neighboring countries on Thursday. He referred to the change of power due to public anger in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. In his Vijayadashami speech, Bhagwat warned that similar forces are active in India, both inside and outside the country and they emphasized the need for democratic methods to bring changes.
What is Bhagwat’s stand on the violence in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal?
Bhagwat said, “In recent years, there has been a lot of upheaval in our neighboring countries. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and recently due to violent anger in Nepal in Nepal, the change of power is a matter of concern for us. The forces that cause such disturbances in India are active both inside and outside our country. Lack of administrators, however, does not have such a change in violent demonstrations. In peace, stability, prosperity and comfort and goodness, there is a need arising out of our natural attachment with these countries, which is beyond the idea of protecting our interests. “
What did Mohan Bhagwat say on government action against Naxalite
Bhagwat praised the government’s efforts to control the Naxalite movement, but emphasized the need for a comprehensive action plan to ensure justice, development and harmony in the affected areas. The militant Naxalite movement has been controlled to a great extent due to the strict actions of the government and awareness about the hollowness and cruelty of their ideology. The popularity of Naxalites in these areas was exploitation and injustice, lack of development and lack of sensitivity about these matters in administration. Now that these obstacles have gone away, a comprehensive action plan is needed to ensure justice, development, goodwill, sympathy and harmony in these areas.
Bhagwat said- the world is looking towards India today
We are also looking at other problems, such as the ongoing war and struggle (both small and big) around the world, the havoc of nature due to loss to the environment, weakening of social and family relationships, and increasing misconduct and enmity towards others in everyday life. Efforts have been made to overcome all these problems, but they have failed to prevent their progress or give a comprehensive solution. All countries are facing danger with perverted and hostile forces that believe that culture, faith, tradition and all such connecting bonds are necessary to solve these problems. These forces will further enhance social evils, conflicts and violence affecting humanity. Even in India, we are experiencing all these situations in different ways. The world is eagerly waiting for solutions based on Indian philosophy. “
Not only India, other South Asian countries should also accept these disasters “bell of danger”
The RSS chief further warned of the results of the materialistic and consumerist development models, and cited the impact of climate change. Bhagwat urged India and other South Asian countries to consider these disasters as “alarm bells”. He said, “Based on materialistic and fragmented approach, harmful results of materialistic and consumerist development models adopted worldwide are becoming increasingly clear everywhere. Due to this model, due to this model, irregular and unexpected rains, landslides, droughts and other effects have intensified in the last 3-4 years. Having disasters should be considered a danger bell for India and other countries of South Asia. “
