India added another medal to its shooting haul at the Asian Games 2026 as Rudrankksh Patil, Himanshu Dhillon and Parth Mane combined to win silver in the men’s 10m air rifle team event on Monday.
The Indian trio finished with a combined score of 1890.1 points, securing the country’s third shooting medal of the Games. Rudrankksh led the Indian effort with 631.8, followed by Himanshu with 630.0 and Parth with 628.3.
The result adds to India’s strong start in the shooting competition at the Aichi-Nagoya Games. The Indian women’s 10m air rifle team had already won silver on the opening day, with Elavenil Valarivan, Sonam Maskar and Vidarsa Vinod finishing second behind China. Elavenil subsequently added another silver in the individual event.
Rudrankksh and Himanshu Advance to Individual Final
The Indian performance was further boosted by Rudrankksh Patil and Himanshu Dhillon qualifying for the individual final of the men’s 10m air rifle event.
The individual qualification was conducted alongside the team competition at the Aichi Prefectural General Shooting Gallery, the venue for the shooting events at the Games. India had entered Rudrankksh, Himanshu and Parth in the men’s 10m air rifle event.
Rudrankksh’s presence brings considerable experience to the Indian team. He is a former world champion in the men’s 10m air rifle and also won gold in the team event at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou alongside Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and Divyansh Singh Panwar.
