Navi Mumbai International Airport is ready for flight, PM Modi can inaugurate on this day

The new International Airport to be built in Navi Mumbai is going to open soon for passengers with its full preparation. According to media reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi can formally inaugurate this modern airport on 8 October. This airport run by the Adani Group has obtained aerodrome license from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), which is a proof of fulfilling all its security and regulatory standards. Now the airport is fully capable of starting its services.

Gautam Adani meets workers

The chairman of Adani Group before this special occasion Gautam Adani Shared a video on the social media platform X (East Twitter). He said that he had a personal meeting with construction workers, disabled employees, women personnel, engineers, artisans, fire fighters and security guards engaged in the construction of the airport. Adani said, this success is the result of the hard work of thousands of hands. When this airport will work to connect millions of flights and millions of passengers, then the echo of these people will be felt at every flight and every step.

Aerodrome license

The aerodrum license of DGCA to the airport is a big step towards connecting the region to the world. The Adani Group and the CIDCO of the Government of Maharashtra together have developed the project in five stages. In the first phase, the airport has a capacity to provide an annual service of about 2 crore passengers.

Indigo and Air India will start first flight service

Prominent Airlines like Air India, IndiGo and Akasa Air have partnered with Adani Airport Holdings Limited to start a flight service from Navi Mumbai Airport. In particular, IndiGo, the country’s largest airline, will operate the first commercial flight from this airport. IndiGo will operate about 18 daily flights to more than 15 cities on the first day. Air India will also run 20 daily flights connecting 15 cities of the country in the initial phase.

India’s first automated cargo terminal

The country’s first fully automated cargo terminal has also been set up at Navi Mumbai International Airport. This facility will not only speed up the operation of cargo but will also bring revolutionary changes in the logistics sector. The airport is spread over a total of 1,160 hectares, which makes it extremely huge in both size and capacity.
