The Yogi government has reduced the fare of all air -conditioned buses of UP Roadways by about 10% by giving special gifts to the public on Dussehra and Deepawali. This exemption will continue until new orders are given by the Transport Department.
Resolve to promote passenger facilities
Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) Dayashankar Singh said that the Yogi government is constantly working to provide accessible and better transport services to the public. Fare cuts will not only provide cheap journey to passengers but will also increase the use of AC buses.
This discount will be applicable to Janrath, Pink, Shatabdi, Volvo and air -conditioned sleeping services. However, this facility will not be available on new air -conditioned buses registered after 01 January 2024.

Fare structure (air -conditioned bus services)
- 3*2 bus service – ₹ 1.45 per km
- 2*2 bus service – ₹ 1.60 per km
- High End (Volvo) Buses – ₹ 2.30 per km
- Air conditioned sleeping – ₹ 2.10 per km
Special attention to corporation’s income and services
The government has clarified that special counseling is being given to the drivers and operators of the buses to ensure that the income of the corporation does not affect the income of the fare. They will be motivated to attract more and more passengers.
