Mahindra is gearing up to launch the facelifted Thar on 22nd September. The second generation Thar was launched in 2020 and while it has received minor updates now and then, this will be the first comprehensive update that the 3-door lifestyle SUV will get.
The Mahindra Thar will get cosmetic updates like a Thar Roxx-inspired grille and lights. The vehicle will get LED units for the headlamps and tail lamps. The bumpers are expected to get redesigned as well. Along with this, Mahindra is likely to give a new design for the alloys.
On the inside, the Mahindra Thar will get a bigger touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charger, new upholstery and probably some extra features. Mechanically, it is likely to remain unchanged. It will continue with the same set of petrol and diesel engines, i.e 1.5 diesel 2WD, 2.0 petrol 2WD, 2.0 petrol 4WD and 2.2 diesel 4WD.
Mahindra is likely to update the suspension too, to make the ride a little comfier. We can also expect the prices to get revised. Currently, the Thar 3-door is priced from Rs. 12.6-21.5 Lakh, OTR Mumbai.
