Dharmendra Pradhan Resignation: ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) started a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Saturday. The protest was against the recent NEET 2026 paper leak and alleged irregularities in the CBSE’s on-screen marking (OSM) system. The protesters have demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

  • In another post on Twitter, CJP claimed that Delhi Police has given him permission to protest at Jantar Mantar. He also said that his protest was aimed at putting pressure on Dharmendra Pradhan to resign.
  • The post read, “Delhi Police has given permission for the protest at Jantar Mantar. Now we can assemble directly at Jantar Mantar, and we do not need to go to Parliament Street Police Station as planned earlier. Cockroaches are coming, Dharmendra Pradhan is going.

According to an official order issued from the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Delhi district, Delhi Police has given permission to CJP to protest at Jantar Mantar from 10 am to 5 pm today.

In this order sent to CJP founder Deepke, it has been said that the permission for the demonstration has been given as a one-time relaxation under the guidelines of the Supreme Court and related civil appeals.

Know what is the whole matter of NEET paper leak

  • This protest is taking place at a time when the atmosphere is heated over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, which also includes the NEET-UG controversy. After problems like paper leak and administrative lapses, this year’s examination will now be held again on June 21.
  • The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating this case and several arrests have also been made. Recently, CBI Director Praveen Sood and NTA Director General Abhishek Singh had informed a parliamentary standing committee about the progress of the investigation.
  • Student organizations are already protesting in Delhi and other parts of the country demanding accountability for repeated irregularities in the examinations. Earlier, many protesters were also detained outside the Education Ministry.
