The arches fell at Mattuthwani bus stand in Madurai

Let me tell you that in another incident in February this year, an Arthamwar operator was killed while demolishing the prestigious arches located at Mattuthwani bus stand in Madurai. The contractor was seriously injured. The arches, built on the occasion of the 5th World Tamil Conference in 1981 under the reign of MG Ramachandran, became a hindrance due to road expansion. As soon as the sabotage started, a pillar fell and the driver was buried. The injured contractor was treated at the Government Rajaji Hospital.
