SBI Credit Card
The SBI card has announced a change in its fee structure from 1 November 2025. Under this, now if you make a payment related to your education or any education through third party apps like Cred, Cheq, Mobikwik, then you will have to pay a new charge of 1%. However, if you pay directly from the official website of school or college or the machine present there, then there will be no fee for paying this.
Putting money in wallet will charge 1%
SBI The card has also made it clear that now the wallet will be charged 1% for loading above Rs 1,000. This rule will apply to transactions whose merchant code is 6540 and 6541. Meaning if you put a large amount in any wallet like credit, phonePe, then you will have to pay more than that amount. This rule will work on the merchant code that are fixed by card networks and can be changed anytime, so cardholders will always have to be careful.
No change in the remaining fees
The SBI card has not made any change in any fees other than this. For example, cash payment will be charged Rs 250, if your payment is a dishoner, then you must pay 2% or 500 rupees. There is a charge of 200 rupees on payment by check. Even after taking cash advance, there will be 2.5% fees, whether you take ATM in India or abroad. If the card is lost, the fee for making a new card is between 100 and 250 rupees, while this fee for Aurum card is Rs 1,500. Making emergency card abroad will cost at least $ 175 or $ 148.
Late payment charge will increase
If you do not make minimum payment of your card on time, then you will also have to pay late fees. If the payment is up to Rs 500, then there will be no charge. For not paying between 500 to 1,000 rupees, it will cost 400 rupees late. Similarly, not paying Rs 1,000 to 10,000, Rs 750, Rs 10,000 to 25,000 will be Rs 950, Rs 1,100 on 25,000 to 50,000 and Rs 1,300 on 50,000 will be charged. If two billing bicycles do not make minimum payments continuously, then an additional charge of Rs 100 will also be added and it will continue till the payment is completed.
