Celina Jaitly Responds To Husband’s Legal Notices, Says ‘Will Not Be Intimidated Into Silence’

Last year,  filed a case of domestic violence against her husband  . Recently, Peter and his father DI Wolfgang J. Haag sent legal notices to her, threatening defamation over her public statements. Now, the actress has replied to them online with her latest Instagram post where she details her side of the story and reveals that this new legal move is an attempt to scare and silence her. Celina hoped that the judicial systems of India and Austria would listen to her pleas in her joint custody and divorce case. Here’s what the actress shared on Instagram.

Sharing her statement over several slides on Instagram, Celina revealed that both her estranged husband and her father-in-law had sent over legal notices threatening to sue her for defamation. Her legal representatives at Karanjawala & Co. have already sent over a response but the actress wanted to explain her experiences since she filed for divorce and tried to gain custody of her three children.

Celina felt these recent notices were a way of diverting attention from her custody and divorce case, which contained evidence from police complaints, lookout notices, allegations of violence and other documents. She stated, “Speaking about my lived experiences & pursuing lawful remedies is not defamation.”

She pointed out that earlier Peter was happy to take part in magazine covers, interviews, and articles with her and their children for publicity when it suited his interests. Now that she is sharing her side of the story, she is being sent legal notices. Her objective remains to fight for her children and she shared that efforts were being made to remove her from their lives. She wrote, “I have consistently supported joint custody & amicable divorce. Yet despite court orders, I remain without contact with my children just because I chose to fight for my rights.”

The actress shared that she spoke up because she was worried about the well-being of her sons. Celina stated that she was concerned that they were removed from her marital home and they might have been taken outside the jurisdiction of Austria and India without her consent. She felt she was within her rights to raise these concerns.

Additionally, she brought up the pressure, intimidation and attacks she had endured while living in Austria and added, “I believe efforts are now being made to discredit, intimidate & silence me.” The actress went on to she would not stay quiet about her experience and would fight it out in court both in India and Austria. Celina had reportedly  against Peter Haag in Mumbai for domestic violence, intimidation and harassment.

Celina wed Austrian entrepreneur and hotelier Peter in 2010. They welcomed twin boys in 2012. In 2017, she gave birth to twin boys again but one died because of a heart condition at birth. The Janasheen actress returned to India amidst the legal battle.
