After the Awami Action Committee, now the police of POK have also come out on the streets against the government. Local policemen are seeing deep resentment towards the government. POK held massive protests. AAC has appealed for demonstrations, shutters-downs and wheel-fragments in the entire region. Due to this, tension in the area has increased. Islamabad has deployed heavy security forces to control the situation.

After the Awami Action Committee, the POK police has also taken to the streets against the Government of Pakistan. Local policemen are seeing deep resentment towards the government. After the police strike, the law and order situation in POK has deteriorated. Due to non -fulfillment of demands of policemen, the bandh has been announced today in the entire POK. The Government of Pakistan has deployed a large number of police and security forces to keep the situation under control.

Internet services closed from midnight

Internet services have been discontinued from midnight due to security reasons so that people cannot gather. AAC has raised thousands of people under their banners, who are raising their voice against the decades of political neglect and financial crisis. According to media reports, this group has a total of 38 demands from Shahbaz Sharif government. These demands include the demand to abolish 12 seats reserved in the PoK Assembly for Kashmiri refugees living in Pakistan. Apart from this, the proper electricity fee related to the concessional flour, Mangala Hydroelectric Project and the promises made by Islamabad is also included in these demands.

7,000 policemen and frontier force personnel deployed

Addressing a large crowd in Muzaffarabad, prominent AAC leader Shaukat Nawaz Mir said, “Our movement is not against any institution. It is for the fundamental rights that have been deprived of our people for the last 70 years. It has been enough now. Either give us our rights, or face our anger.” The Government of Pakistan has deployed 7,000 policemen and Frontier Force personnel to bring the deteriorating situation of POK under control. All these soldiers have been sent to POK from the capital Islamabad.
