Anushka Sharma Reveals How Virat Kohli And She Used Fake Names To Hide Their Wedding Preparations

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary on December 11. The Bollywood actress and the star cricketer got married at Borgo Finocchieto, an 800-year-old village-turned-villa in Italy.

The couple opted for a home-style wedding and exchanged their vows in a ceremony that was shrouded in secrecy away from the hustle and bustle of the limelight. Here’s what Anushka Sharma had to say about her ‘secretive’ wedding…

In conversation with Vogue, Anushka Sharma revealed that the wedding had only close friends and family in attendance. “We wanted to have a home-style wedding. There were only 42 people there, with all our friends and family present. I wanted it to be about Virat and me marrying each other, and not this big celebrity wedding. The energy at our wedding was blessed,” said Anushka Sharma. “We even used fake names while talking to the caterer; I think Virat’s was Rahul. We just wanted to be like two people in love. We never counted for who we were publicly when we fell in love. Our beings fell in love. We wanted to feel that purity at our wedding,” revealed Anushka.

The power-couple are not just superstars in their respective fields but are also one of the most stylish duo in showbiz. On January 11, 2021, the couple was blessed with a baby girl. The actress often shares cute moments with her adorable daughter Vamika on her Instagram handle. Here’s wishing a very Happy Wedding Anniversary to Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli.
