In the ‘Developed UP@2047’ dialogue, UP’s municipal corporations and municipalities shared stories of development and innovation. Emphasis was laid on Ayodhya to Jhansi, Prayagraj to Meerut, income growth, solar city, smart city and digital services.

Lucknow, September 29: The atmosphere of the ‘developed UP@2047’ dialogue program was full of enthusiasm and confidence. The presidents of the municipal corporations, municipalities and Nagar Panchayats shared changes and development works in their respective cities with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The Chief Minister not only heard these efforts, but also learned how the municipal bodies have discovered new means of innovation and income.

Ayodhya: Income increase from solar city and tourism

Ayodhya Mayor Girish husband Tripathi said that there has been a big increase in tax-tax income. Millions of devotees and tourists come daily, who is the priority of the corporation to give a clean environment. The Chief Minister referred to the plan to develop Ayodhya as a solar city and suggested that the Municipal Corporation should organize a conference of mayors so that this model becomes an inspiration for other cities as well.

Firozabad: Municipal corporation’s income doubles

Firozabad Mayor Kamini Rathore informed that the corporation’s income has increased from 18 crores to 40 crores. Also, the mall being built by the corporation will further increase permanent income. The Chief Minister appreciated the effort and congratulated the executive.

Jhansi: Second place in clean air survey

Jhansi Mayor Bihari Lal Arya said that projects like Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority, Defense Corridor Node and Bundelkhand Expressway are the result of the Chief Minister’s special interest. He informed that Jhansi has secured second position in the clean air survey. The corporation’s income has increased from 25 crores to 80 crores in three years and a target is to reach 100 crores.

Ghaziabad and Mirjapur: Income hike and digital services

Vinod Vaishali Jatav, president of Modinagar Municipality of Ghaziabad, suggested on income growth and utilization of vacant land. Mirjapur president Shyam Sundar said that the income has increased from 5.89 crores to 11 crore and now facilities like free Wi-Fi are also being provided to the citizens. The Chief Minister suggested a multilevel parking and passenger resting place near Maa Vindhyavasini Dham.

Deoria and Sultanpur: Multilavel Parking and Smart City

Deoria President Alka Singh shared local development works. The Chief Minister insisted on making multilevel parking on vacant land. While interacting with Sultanpur President Praveen Aggarwal, the Chief Minister said that the government will develop municipalities with district headquarters as smart cities.

Meerut and Mathura: Example of innovation and self -sufficiency

Ashok Saini, president of Faloda Nagar Panchayat of Meerut, said that the income has increased from 20 lakhs to 44 lakhs. The Chief Minister called for adopting technology and innovation -based schemes and said that the government is considering granting the right to pass the building map to the municipal bodies. Manju Devi, president of Mahavan Nagar Panchayat of Mathura, proudly said that his panchayat with a population of 10,000 is also part of the developed UP campaign.

Prayagraj: IT City and Green Efforts

Prayagraj Mayor Umesh Ganesh Kesarwani said that it has been resolved to develop IT City at the local level. He prepared a new forest area by planting 2.19 lakh saplings and shared information about the construction of ‘Naya Prayagraj’. The Chief Minister encouraged the Shivalik Park to make more green efforts.

Efforts of other municipal bodies

Harshvardhan Varshney, President of Babrala Nagar Panchayat of Sambhal and Rampur Maniharan Nagar Panchayat President Renu also shared the achievements of their areas. The chairman of Puvayan Nagar Panchayat of Shahjahanpur said that a new market is being created, which will become a permanent means of income. The Chief Minister appreciated this initiative and said that this is the real feeling of developed UP@2047- by utilizing local resources, moving towards self-reliance and civic convenience.
