New Delhi: The second annual MASH Ball is set to illuminate Mumbai on October 5th, 2025, at the St. Regis, as a grand celebration of art, cinema, and humanitarianism in support of UNICEF India.
This event, conceptualised and hosted by philanthropist and art patron Shalini Passi, founder of MASH, aims to champion children’s rights, development, and creative empowerment across India.
Under the theme of “Fashion in Films,” the MASH Ball 2025 will bring together a diverse gathering of artists, philanthropists, and changemakers dedicated to a cause that resonates globally. The evening promises to be a showcase of artistic expression, featuring a curated collection of art, design, and craft from renowned artists and designers.
“This transformative initiative serves as a ray of hope, uniting people from diverse spheres to stand up for children who are too often unheard and unseen,” stated Passi. “This platform empowers individuals to use their influence, resources, and passion to foster a world where every child’s rights are upheld and their futures safeguarded.” Through her ongoing philanthropic efforts, Passi is committed to raising awareness, protecting children’s rights, and amplifying their voices.
The MASH Ball 2025 will feature artworks from celebrated figures, including F N Souza, Raghava K K, Narayan Biswas, Ashiesh Shah, Michelle Poonawala, Vibha Galhotra, Ann Carrington, and Ryan Koopmans, among others.
Highlights include F N Souza’s striking “Untitled” from his “Head” series, Michelle Poonawala’s symbolic “AquaVitae,” and Raghava K.K.’s “La liberté de Guernica.” Vibha Galhotra’s “The Final Feast” offers a poignant commentary on contemporary society, while Ann Carrington’s sculptures crafted from stainless steel cutlery add a unique artistic dimension.
In a remarkable gesture of support, Rocco Ritchie, son of Madonna and Guy Ritchie, has donated a self-portrait, with all proceeds dedicated to expanding Art be a Part’s outreach and education programs with UNICEF India. Medha Nanda, founder of Art be a Part, highlighted the significance of art as a tool for self-expression and communication, particularly through their SpArK initiative for children with special needs.
All proceeds generated from the MASH Ball 2025 will directly benefit UNICEF India’s Art-Based Therapy (ABT) and Early Childhood Development (ECD) programmes, two vital initiatives that Passi has personally championed.
