Gouri Tonnk On Bonding With Tu Hi Re Dil Mein Co-Stars: Doesn’t Feel Like We’re Working For The First Time

Actress Gouri Tonnk, who is seen playing Madhavi Shah in Zee TV’s family drama ‘Tu Hi Re Dil Mein’, opened up about her off-screen bonding with her co-stars. The show stars Priyanshi Yadav as Vrinda, Abrar Qazi as Sanjay and Simran Rawal as Swati.

Talking about her rapport with her on-screen daughters, Gouri said, “Touchwood, the bonding is very good. My bonding with Simran Rawal is very good. Working with her, it doesn’t feel like we are working together for the first time. She is a very hard-working girl. It’s her first show, but looking at her work and working with her, it doesn’t feel like it at all. She is always chirpy, smiling, and our chemistry comes out very well on screen.”

She added, “Then my chemistry with Priyanshi is also very good. Priyanshi has worked before. Working with Priyanshi – she has such a sweet face that while doing scenes where I am manhandling her and throwing her out of the house, I even tell her that you make it very challenging, because looking at you when you cry, I don’t feel like doing it. When I am speaking to you harshly or manhandling you, I myself feel very bad. As Gauri, I feel bad. Maybe Madhavi doesn’t feel bad, but Gauri feels very bad.”

“My bond with everyone else is also very good. Everyone are beautiful and amazing people. Everyone are good at their work here as well. So touchwood, the bond is really good. And our entire unit, our direction team, everyone is really welcoming,” she shared.

On the personal front, Gouri is married to actor Yash Tonk. The couple first met in 2001 on the sets of the hit Ekta Kapoor thriller serial ‘Kahiin Kissii Roz’, where they quickly fell in love. After dating for about two years, they tied the knot on October 19, 2002. The couple are blessed with two daughters Pari and Myrah.

Talking about how having a partner from the same profession helps, Gouri said, “Me and Yash, of course, sometimes we ask each other, we even discuss scenes with each other. Sometimes there are very small things because of which the entire perspective of a scene can change, and as actors, only we can understand that.”

“So many times I ask him, we also brainstorm with each other that, no, this is like this, so it can be done like this. And I guess that’s the benefit of having a partner from the same profession,” she concluded.

On professional front, Gouri is known for featuring in shows like Kaamnaa, Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, Kaahin Kissii Roz. In recent years Gauri is known for her powerful portrayals as Jasleen in ‘Teri Meri Doriyaann’ and Sakshi Chaudhary in ‘Deewaniyat’.
