Mithun Manhas, the new president of BCCI, will work without salary, yet this will be like this

Mithun Manhas has replaced Roger Binny.

Former Delhi captain Mithun Manhas has been elected the new president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday. He replaced former all -rounder Roger Binny, who left the post last month. Till then Vice President Rajiv Shukla was temporarily looking after the work of the Speaker. Manhas was formally elected as the 37th President at the AGM held at BCCI headquarters in Mumbai. He has become only the third cricketer to come to this post after Sourav Ganguly and Binny.

45-year-old Manhas has scored around 15,000 runs in his senior career, including 9,714 runs in first-class cricket. He captained Delhi at a time when the team’s star batsmen Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir were mostly busy for Team India. In the last round of his career, he also played the Ranji Trophy from his home state Jammu and Kashmir.

Manhas earned as BCCI President

The post of BCCI President is honorary, that is, Manhas will not get any annual or monthly salary from the world’s richest cricket board. Instead, they will get daily allowance (daily allowance) and facilities like other officials (such as Treasurer and Secretary).

Manhas will earn so much every day

According to the Economic Times, they will get Rs 40,000 per day on presiding over BCCI or other domestic meetings. They will get US $ 1,000 (about Rs 88,668) per day for meetings abroad. They will get an allowance of Rs 30,000 per day for working journey within India. Apart from this, as BCCI President, Manhas will get business class at domestic travel and first-class/business class in international travel. Also, there will be a system of staying in five-star hotel suits for them.
