Lakhimpur. A painful road accident occurred in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday morning. A roadways bus going from Lakhimpur to Lucknow here and Maruti Omni van coming from Sitapur collided face to face. In this accident, at least five people, including two -year -old children, died on the spot, while 10 people were seriously injured.

Treatment of injured and administration action
The injured were rushed to the district hospital immediately after the accident. Six seriously injured people were referred to the Lucknow Trauma Center for better treatment. District Magistrate Durga Shakti Nagpal and SP Sankalp Sharma reached the hospital themselves and took stock of the medical system. Officials assured that the victim families would be compensated and the injured would be fully treated.
