The left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman, aged 28, reached the coveted 200-run mark at the iconic M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, becoming a pivotal force in East Zone’s commanding performance.

Resuming Day 2 from his overnight score of 111, Kishan displayed a blend of aggression and composure, navigating the South Zone bowling attack with authority. He progressed steadily past 150 before accelerating towards his double century, eventually reaching an impressive 204 runs off 273 deliveries. His previous double ton came in One Day Internationals (ODIs) against Bangladesh on December 10, 2022, where he famously became the fastest cricketer to achieve an ODI double century, blasting 210 runs off just 131 balls, reaching the 200-run mark in 126 deliveries.
