According to the police, both the children died of suffocation due to dense smoke.

Police has started the investigation of the matter. Initial investigation has revealed that the fire was caused by a short circuit. The police said in their statement, “The drawing room is completely burnt. While the fire has left its marks in other parts of the flat.” Bhupendra Singh, in -charge of Anantpura police station, has expressed apprehension that the fire was caused by a failure of power.
