Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 20 has welcomed one of its youngest contestants yet, social media sensation Arishfa Khan. At 23, Arishfa already has more than a decade of experience in the entertainment industry, having started as a child actor on television. She later carved out a massive space for herself online, becoming one of the most recognisable young Indian creators across social media. Today, her Instagram following stands at over 29 million, giving her a formidable digital audience as she enters the reality show. From child artiste to social media phenomenon, Arishfa’s journey makes her Bigg Boss debut particularly interesting.
Who is Arishfa Khan
At 23, Arishfa Khan enters Bigg Boss 20 as the season’s youngest contestant, but her association with the entertainment industry goes back to her childhood. Born on April 3, 2003, in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, she began working on television at a very young age.
Arishfa made her acting debut in 2012 with Chhal – Sheh Aur Maat. She went on to become familiar to television audiences through shows such as Ek Veer Ki Ardaas… Veera, where she played the younger Gunjan. Her other television credits include Jeannie Aur Juju, Uttaran, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Gangaa, Meri Durga and Papa By Chance. She has also appeared in Crime Patrol episodes and television commercials. While television gave Arishfa her initial recognition, the rise of short-form content transformed the scale of her popularity.
She became particularly prominent during the TikTok era and subsequently expanded her presence on Instagram and YouTube. Her content covers fashion, beauty, lifestyle and entertainment, helping her build a following that extends well beyond television.
Arishfa Khan’s 29 million plus Instagram following
‘s biggest strength heading into Bigg Boss 20 could be the sheer size of her online audience. With more than 29 million Instagram followers, she is entering the house with an established digital community that has followed her career for years.
Her online journey has also included music videos, with appearances in projects such as Yaara 2 and Teri Baatein Mulaqatein. The combination of television experience and digital popularity makes her different from contestants known primarily through either medium.
For a reality show that thrives on personalities, fan support and conversations outside the house, Arishfa’s substantial social media presence could become an important part of her journey.
Arishfa Khan’s controversies and Bigg Boss connection
Arishfa has also faced intense online scrutiny over the years. Following the 2018 death of social media personality Danish Zehen, speculation surrounding their friendship became a subject of discussion online. Arishfa rejected claims that they were romantically involved and described Danish as a friend who was like a brother to her. The episode eventually led to a public dispute involving Danish’s brother, Gufran, with Arishfa alleging harassment and strongly denying suggestions that she had any connection to Danish’s death.
Interestingly, this is not the first time Arishfa’s name has been associated with Bigg Boss. She was reportedly approached for Bigg Boss 19 in 2025 but did not participate. Her eventual entry into the 20th season marks a significant return to television, this time not as a fictional character but as one of the show’s youngest and most-followed contestants.
