Mirzapur: The Movie opened to positive feedback from critics and audiences alike. Fans were in for a treat as Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu returned as Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu Pandit and Munna Tripathi. The hit web series was turned into a film for the silver screen. However, Mirzapur: The Movie arrived with nostalgia and freshness. The Gurmmeet Singh directorial took a bumper box office opening of Rs 25.75 crore. Within two days of its theatrical run, the crime thriller crossed the Rs 50 crore mark at the ticket window.

According to the tracking website Sacnilk, Pankaj, Ali and Divyenndu-starrer minted a whopping Rs 31 crore from 11,249 shows on day two. enjoyed 47.7 percent occupancy on its second day of theatrical run. It is to be noted that the film added Rs 30.75 crore, while it earned Rs 25 lakh in the Telugu-dubbed version.
That said, Gurmmeet Singh-directed movie’s two-day total stands at Rs 56.75 crore. For those unaware, the movie’s total India gross earnings now add upto Rs 68.20 crore. Since the crime thriller collected Rs 6 crore overseas on second day, its total gross stands at Rs 10.25 crore. Overall, this Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment production has earned Rs 78.45 crore at the worldwide box office. Needless to add, the project will soon enter the Rs 100 crore club globally.
Amol Parashar Urges People To Watch Mirzapur In Theatres
Meanwhile, of Triplings fame, has requested people to watch Mirzapur: The Movie in theatres. Taking to his Instagram handle, the actor shared a note. A part of it read, “But I say it for all the actors who ARE in the film. Yes, each crew member is equally important but for natural reasons I speak for the actors a little more. This ensemble consists of some of craftiest actors of our generation.”
Amol added that he doesn’t need to convince people how talented Mirzapur: The Movie actors are as they are already aware of it. That said, he mentioned that all the actors, who started their careers from ground up, have left no stone unturned while also working on themselves. He further took a liberty to guess what the film’s star cast wants : “They want you to show up, to let them entertain you on the big screen,” he said.
