Ee Paata Korinavaru… is a mystery musical that blends sound, neuroscience and emotions, while also holding an interesting distinction as one of the longest film titles in Telugu cinema.
Director Chandra Siddarth, known for films such as Aa Naluguru, Madhumasam, Andari Bandhuvaya, Idhi Sangathi and Aatagadharaa Siva, is returning with an unconventional film titled Ee Paata Korinavaru Nemalipalem Nundi Rama, Jyotsna, Nandu, Murali, Kabir, Dhol Ravi Modalaguvaaru.
The film, which carries the tagline A Forbidden Raag From A Forbidden Saga, is slated for release on September 18.
Produced by Chandra Siddarth under the Filmotsav banner and presented by Y.V. Satyanarayana Raju, the film is based on a story by the late filmmaker-writer Madan.
Harsha is making his debut as the lead, while Ammayra Goswami, Sujana Reddy, Inaya Sultana, Ravi Varma, Anirudh Srivastava, Ashok Vardhan and Rekha Nirosha play key roles.
Unlike his earlier relationship-driven films, Chandra Siddarth explores a high-concept psychological thriller through a mystery-musical format.
The story connects sound, music, neuroscience, sound therapy, brain mapping, memories, guilt and love, with music playing a crucial role in the narrative.
The director revealed that the film’s lengthy title comes directly from its premise. Every night at exactly 10:30 PM, the same song is broadcast on a radio station, repeatedly requested by Rama, Jyotsna, Nandu, Murali, Kabir, Dhol Ravi and others from Nemalipalem.
Chandra Siddarth also revealed that this was the last film Madan had planned before his demise. He recalled that he had earlier made Aa Naluguru based on a story by Madan.
He described the new film as an experimental attempt to offer audiences a different cinematic experience.
The movie has four songs, with J Rex composing the music and Chandra Siddarth writing the lyrics. Pulagam Chinnarayana has penned the dialogues for the film, which comes with an intriguing and unusual premise.
