Shaheed bhagat singh birth anniversary: This was the last letter of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh’s revolutionary colleagues a day before the hanging. There was a demand from all sides to cancel the hanging of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. The colleagues engaged in trying to lose and intensify the struggle in jails had only one wish that Bhagat Singh is necessary at this point. But Bhagat Singh himself was tightened with sacrifice.
He did not have any kind of mercy or imprisonment. There was only one night gap between the hanging and them. But even at that time, he was so quite calm and fearless. Read what was going on in the mind of the immortal martyr.
If you live, revolution will be dim
In a letter addressed to his colleagues on 22 March 1931, Bhagat Singh wrote, “It is natural that I should have a desire to live. I do not want to hide it. But I am not confused by being imprisoned or restricted.” Of course, Bhagat Singh was in jail but after the announcement of his trial and then the death sentence, he was fully aware of the atmosphere of the country.
He wrote, “My name has become a symbol of the Hindustani revolution and the ideals and sacrifices of the revolutionary party have lifted me very high. So high that it cannot be higher in the event of survival. Today my weaknesses are not in front of the public but if I am saved from hanging, they will be revealed and the symbol of revolution will be revealed or perhaps it will be erased.”
In the Lahore Conspiracy case, the special tribunal sentenced Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru to death on 7 October 1930.
Waiting for hanging
Bhagat Singh found the success of the struggle of freedom more than his life, for which innumerable sacrifices had been done. He himself gave his arrest to awaken the Bratania government through the assembly bomb scandal. Now he felt that it was not enough to stay in jail only. To intensify the flame of revolution, it is necessary to sacrifice your life. He wrote, “In the event of laughing in a dilemma manner, Hindustani mothers will do Bhagat Singh for their children. Then the number of sacrifices for the independence of the country will increase so much that it will not be a matter of imperialism or all the satanic forces to stop revolution.”
However, he regretted that he could not fulfill even a thousandth of what he wanted to do for the country and humanity. His mind standing in the face of hanging came in front of the country and the world through these lines, “Who will be more fortunate than me? Nowadays I am very proud of myself. Now I am waiting for the last examination with great disgrace. Wishing it to come closer.”
Sacrifice required for revolution
In the Lahore Conspiracy case, the special tribunal sentenced Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru to death on 7 October 1930. But long before the decision, Bhagat Singh was assuming the death sentence for himself. The truth is that he considered his sacrifice necessary to intensify the flame of revolution.
Even after the objection of Chandrashekhar Azad, the assembly bomb included his name in the action. After throwing bombs, the offer to escape safely was rejected. Yatindra Nath Das was killed in jail on 13 September 1929 after a 63 -day hunger strike. Bhagat Singh and colleagues were distressed by Yatindra’s martyrdom. But they believed that this martyrdom would not go in vain. At the same time, he believed that the floor which is looking for them all, will have to be sacrificed more.
Bhagat Singh wrote to Sukhdev, “I have a firm belief to recite the death penalty about my subject. I do not hope for any kind of softening. There can be no forgiveness for us nor will it be. I am desired that when the freedom movement reached the climax, we should be hanged.”
When the question of the country, what is the situation of a few life!
When the question is related to the decision of the country’s independence and its fate and there was hope of a decisive agreement with the British rule, Bhagat Singh did not want him to be a hindrance in his way.
He wrote, “When the fate of the country is being decided, the fate of individuals should be completely forgotten. We are fully aware of all the experiences of the past as a revolutionary. So we cannot believe that there can be no surprising change in our rulers and especially the emotions of the British. This change is not possible without revolution. Can go and go. “
To reach the floor in any case
Of course, the path of freedom struggle of Bhagat Singh and revolutionary colleagues was different from the path of non -violence of Mahatma Gandhi. On many occasions, differences between the two also came out. But the revolutionaries had only one wish that this fight should be fast and strong.
Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt wrote this letter written from Jail at the conference of students held on 19 October 1929 under the chairmanship of Subhash Chandra Bose, “We cannot say to the youth at this time that they should pick up bombs and pistols. Today there is more important work in front of them today. Soon there is a bigger fight of independence in the Congress’s Lahore session. It is true that it is true that students have competed with death in the next line of freedom.
The urge to read the last time
Lawyer Pran Nath Mehta was the last person who met Bhagat Singh a few hours before hanging. Bhagat Singh asked him to bring a biography of Lenin. When Mehta reached jail on March 23, the staff said that Bhagat Singh and colleagues from anyone due to the ban on meeting anyone other than close relatives.

Of course, the path of freedom struggle of Bhagat Singh and revolutionary colleagues was different from the path of non -violence of Mahatma Gandhi.
Has refused to meet. Nevertheless, Mehta had obtained permission to meet in the name of knowing their last wish as a lawyer of prisoners. He was to be hanged after just two hours. On seeing Mehta, Bhagat Singh asked about the book. Bhagat Singh started reading him as soon as the book came in his hand.
When the jail officers came to pick them up to hang them, they were still reading the same book. Bhagat Singh’s niece Virender Sindhu wrote, “The officer standing on the threshold of the closet said that Sardar ji! The hanging has come. Get ready. Bhagat Singh had a book in his right hand. Without taking his eyes, he raised the left hand and said- wait. Stop.
Hanged a day before
The death date was fixed for March 24. But in the possibility of widespread unrest, a day earlier on the evening of 23 March 1931, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru were told that the same evening will be hanged. His weight increased. While going for hanging, they were singing three, “Sometimes that day will come when we will be free. It will be its own land, it will be its own sky.” In jail barracks, prisoners were closed two hours earlier that evening. The prisoners realized the preparation of the hanging of Bhagat Singh and colleagues.
Soon the slogans of Inquilab Zindabad-Samrajanism Murdabad started echoing. All three were erected on separate planks. Bhagat Singh was in the middle. All three kissed the noose. His hands and feet were tied. The noose was tightened. The executioner asked who would like to go first? Sukhdev said I. The executioner stumbled and removed the placards under the feet. His bodies kept swinging for a long time. The jail staff present was shocked to see the courage of those three till the last moment. An Indian official refused to identify the death. He was suspended immediately. Then two British officers completed this formality.

In every moment of life, he kept thinking only for the country. Live for the same and died for the same. But while in jail, he also remembered his family and his grief and troubles.
On 3 March 1931, he wrote to brother Kulvir Singh, “Look, I did nothing for anyone. I am leaving all of you in the calamities. But never panic. What else can I say except this?” The second younger brother Kulatar wrote the same day, “Today, there was a lot of pain in your eyes. Today there was a lot of pain in your words.
