Mumbai actress Ashmita Bakshi is currently captivating audiences in the television series “108 Base Hospital – Uri.” Reflecting on her career, she describes her journey in the entertainment industry as a roller-coaster ride filled with highs and lows.
Bakshi believes that fluctuations are a natural part of any field. “I’ve played a variety of roles, and as an actor, I feel fortunate to portray such diverse characters. It has been a beautiful journey,” she shared.
When asked about the differences between working in films, web series, and television, Bakshi emphasized that regardless of the medium, her focus remains on delivering her best performance. “Acting is the same across all platforms. We strive to give our best based on the script we receive. There’s no difference in effort whether it’s a film or a series,” she explained.
She further added, “I think the makers understand the nuances. It reflects in the dialogues, the writing style, and the medium itself. For an artist, it’s simply about the work they are doing.”
In “108 Base Hospital – Uri,” Bakshi plays the role of Army Major/Nurse Anita Solanki, who is part of the medical team deployed in conflict zones. She shares the screen with Smita Bansal, who also portrays a nurse, as well as actors Erica Fernandes and Shaheer Sheikh. The show airs on Colors TV and JioCinema.
