All three medical practices in Delhi will be treated for mental illnesses: Health Minister

In the TV9 Health Conclave 2025, Delhi Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh gave his views on the subject of Mental Health. He said that it is very important for mental health to be good. He spoke openly on issues related to mental health. Dr. Singh said that the Delhi government is working on a large scale. He said that cases related to mental health are now increasing. Especially in the youth and working class, problems like perspective, stress and depression have become very common. In such a situation, the Delhi government is focusing on Mental Health.

Dr. Singh said that the Delhi government has started a special center at Indira Gandhi Hospital in Dwarka, which is especially working for anxiety and stress management. It is the effort of the government that a holistic treatment model should be prepared by mixing all three major medical practices such as allopathy, Ayurveda and homeopathy. Due to which patients struggling with mental health not only get medical support, but also the benefits of yoga, Ayurvedic therapy and homeopathic treatment.

New MRI machines will be installed in hospitals by November

Dr. Singh said that work is also being done on the health infrastructure of Delhi. By the end of this year, many hospitals of the Delhi government will be operational in the new MRI machine to scan and ultrasound machines by November. From which the price of investigation will be much lower than outside prices. Along with this, new doctors (radiologists) will also be recruited in hospitals. This will help patients to get timely tested and will not have to wait for the test for months.

Efforts are being made to reduce pollution

Dr. Singh said that the government is continuously working to reduce pollution. Many types of policy have been made for this. The government promises that the people will get less pollution this time than last year. Dr. Singh said that the coming government is working in the direction that Delhi can be made pollution free.
