Clean energy

Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (Geapp) has raised an investment of $ 1 billion, or about Rs 8,300 crore for India’s Clean Energy Mission. This information has been revealed in the 2025 impact report of the organization. The purpose of this funding is to intensify energy infection in emerging countries like India, create new employment opportunities and reduce carbon emissions.

Achievements so far from Cop26

Geapp started during the COP26 conference in 2021. According to the report, the organization has so far given an initial funding of $ 503 million worldwide, with the help of which an investment of $ 7.8 billion was opened on 137 projects in more than 30 countries. Work on 26 projects in India

Geapp has so far supported 26 projects in India. These include battery storage, distributed renewable energy (DRE), Digital Utilities and Clean-Tech Startups. With these projects, 4.9 crore people have been targeted to direct more than 22 lakh employment and reduce 166 million tonnes of emissions.

South Asia’s first major battery energy storage system was completed in 20 months at Kilokari substation in Delhi, which is now providing reliable electricity to more than 1 lakh consumers.

Agriculture and women will also get benefit

The organization has also given momentum to the Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana. Between 2023 and 2025 in Rajasthan, 183 MW solar capacity and 12,700 solar pumps were added, causing the state to become 1 GW. Geapp is also emphasized on the economic strength of women. In Uttar Pradesh, 10,000 female-laid businesses have been linked to solar energy, which will help in increasing their income and productivity.

Partnership and future plans with states

In 2024 with the Maharashtra government, Geapp prepared a roadmap for energy infection. More than 100 projects were included in this and 16 GW of new capacity was also tendered. Also, local projects are being linked to India’s long -term clean energy strategy in collaboration with NITI Aayog.

The future plans for the future to provide trusted electricity to 300 million people in India, prepare a 20 -GW new renewable capacity and 5 GW of battery storage pipeline.
