India is going to strengthen its Pakistan and China border with indigenously developed air defense system ‘Anant weapons’. It is the ground -to -air missile system. The Indian Army has issued a tender to the government company Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) for this.
This is the same system, earlier called Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile (Qrsam). It is created by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). The project, costing about Rs 30,000 crore, aims to strengthen air defense capacity on the border of Pakistan and China. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi is constantly emphasizing on indigenization. In the coming time, Zorawar Light Tank and other indigenous air defense platforms will also be inducted into the army.

The army’s air defense branch is in the process of including new radars, very short-range missile systems, jammers and laser-based systems to combat Turkey and Chinese-technology Pakistani drones.
