Delhi’s Patiala House Court has granted bail to accused Gaganpreet Kaur, accused in the BMW accident case. Finance Ministry official Navjot Singh died in this accident. The court has questioned the negligence of the personnel present in an ambulance after the accident.

Court imposed these conditions for bail

The court has also imposed some conditions along with granting bail. These include submission of passports and being present in court in every hearing. The court has directed that the accused will not contact the employees of Gaganpreet New Life Hospital or any witness.

During the court hearing, Gaganpreet’s counsel accused the Delhi Police of not presenting CCTV footage related to the case and accused the court of playing “hide and seek”. Gaganpreet told through his lawyer, “I have no fault. Even after taking that person to the hospital, I am being convicted.”

Court raised questions on ambulance reached the accident site

Before granting bail to Gaganpreet, the court raised serious questions on the role of an ambulance who reached the accident site. Said, “In a few seconds an ambulance reached there and stayed there for 30 seconds, but did not take the injured to the hospital. They had no emergency work. They were going to the nearest hospital (Army Base Hospital).”

The court asked the police, “What to do with this ambulance? Are they not accused of being responsible for this death carelessly? The ambulance with paramedics was obliged to take the injured to the hospital. Paramedics asked people standing nearby if someone needs help.

The accident took place near Dhaula Kuan on 14 September

Please tell that the accident took place on 14 September near Dhaula Kuan in Delhi. Navjot Singh and his wife Sandeep Kaur were riding on the bike. He was hit by a BMW car from behind. Gaganpreet Kaur was running this car. Navjot Singh died in the accident. His wife was seriously injured.

Navjot Singh and his wife were taken to Newlife Hospital in North Delhi after the accident. It was about 19km away from the scene. Navjot Singh’s family has alleged that after the accident, the nearby hospital was taken away instead of being taken away. This wasted important time and Navjot’s life could not be saved.

In her defense, Gaganpreet told the police that she was nervous after the accident. She went to an familiar hospital to the injured. Her daughter was once treated there during the Kovid-19 epidemic. Gaganpreet has been booked for culpable homicide and other charges under the Indian Code of Justice of India.
