In the survey conducted after the elections, power is seen slipping from the hands of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madhya Pradesh, while Congress is expected to make a comeback once again. According to PolStrat’s exit poll survey, Congress is likely to get 111 to 121 seats with 45.6 percent votes, while BJP is likely to get 106 to 116 seats with 43.3 percent votes. Whereas other parties can get 6 seats. Congress definitely has an edge in the survey, but BJP has given a tough fight.

From the caste point of view, voters from Dalit, Tribal, OBC and Muslim communities have expressed their trust in Congress. At the same time, BJP has got most of the votes of general and other castes. If seen from the point of view of women voters, they have voted more in favor of BJP than Congress.

Which caste expressed how much trust in whom?

According to the exit poll survey of PolStrat, 50 percent votes of the Dalit community are expected to go to Congress and 40 percent to BJP. Whereas 10 percent Dalits have voted for other parties. Similarly, Congress can get 49 percent votes from the tribal community and BJP can get 38 percent votes. The OBC community has expressed almost equal trust on Congress and BJP.

Congress can get 45 percent of OBC votes and BJP can get 44 percent. According to the survey, BJP is likely to get more votes from upper castes than Congress. At the same time, 61 percent votes of the Muslim community can go to Congress, 18 percent to BJP and 21 percent to other parties.

Youth showed more trust in Congress

According to the survey, this time the youth have expressed more trust in Congress. 46 percent votes of the youth between 23 years to 35 years can go in favor of Congress. BJP is expected to get 43 percent votes, while 11 percent votes may go to other parties. In this way, Congress is likely to get 46 percent of the votes in the age group of 36 to 45 years, while BJP is likely to get 45 percent of the votes. Other parties may get 9 percent votes.

At the same time, 47 percent votes of people aged between 46 to 55 years can go in favor of BJP, 43 percent of Congress and 11 percent of votes can go in favor of other parties. In the 2018 assembly elections, Congress won 114 seats, BJP won 109 seats and BSP won 2 seats. Voting for the assembly elections in the state was held on November 17 and more than 76 percent voting took place. Election results will be declared on 3 December.
