Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav distributed free helmets to 2100 youths during road safety awareness week in Bhopal. He gave the message of wearing helmets and following traffic rules and becoming responsible citizens.
“Helmet is not just a part of the law, it is the safety shield of life.” Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav gave this message while starting the road safety awareness week from Atal Path in Bhopal. He said that thousands of lives are lost every year due to road accidents, out of which a large number are caused by not wearing only helmets. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav dressed himself helmets to two -wheeler drivers and distributed free helmets to 2100 youth.
Appeal to youth: obey rules and become responsible citizens
In the program, the Chief Minister made a special appeal to the youth not to drive vehicles at high speed, always wear helmets and follow the traffic rules. He said, “If someone loses his life in a road accident, the whole family has to suffer. We can ensure the safety of ourselves and our family by wearing a helmet.”

Road safety awareness rally and 2100 helmets distribution
In a free helmet distribution program organized on Atal Path, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav lit the lamp and launched the Road Safety Week. He then flagged off the two -wheeler rally. During the program, 2100 helmets were distributed among the youth and each driver was given a message to wear helmets personally.
Seva Pakhwada and Rahavir Yojana added to the campaign
The Chief Minister informed that Seva Pakhwara is running in the state from September 17 to October 2. During this time several campaigns related to road safety are being conducted. He said that under the “Rahavir Yojana”, if a citizen takes a crashed person to the hospital, then he will be given an incentive of Rs 25,000 from the state government.
Serious figures and administration preparations on road accidents
Bhopal Commissioner Harinyanachari Mishra said that road accidents have become the biggest cause of unusual deaths in the country. In the year 2024, 1 lakh 80 thousand people lost their lives in road accidents. He said that “6 to 8 times more deaths than incidents of murder in the country occur in road accidents.”
Mishra informed that to smooth the traffic system, the work of making “left turn free” is going on at 37 intersections of the city. Today 2100 helmets were distributed for road safety awareness so that people can be careful and protect their lives.
