This best-selling MPV gets upgrades and a price cut

Maruti Suzuki has refreshed its highly popular Ertiga MPV with a few convenience-oriented updates. The timing aligns with the festive season, a period that typically sees heightened demand.

Already one of the country’s best-selling MPVs, the Ertiga is set to strengthen its presence further with these enhancements.

Updated design and features

Revised roof spoiler: Now features a bolder look with black accents at both ends, standard across all trims.

Reworked AC vents: The second-row vents have been shifted from the roof to the rear of the centre console, while the third row now gets independent vents on the right-hand side with adjustable blower controls.

USB-C charging ports: Two Type-C charging points have been added for both the second and third rows, catering to modern charging needs.

Powertrain

The MPV continues with the same 1.5-litre petrol engine delivering 102 bhp and 136.8 Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. The CNG option, available only with the manual gearbox, produces 87 bhp and 121.5 Nm.

Pricing advantage

Post-GST 2.0 reforms, the Ertiga has become more affordable, with prices starting at Rs 8.80 lakh (ex-showroom).

Sales performance

Defying the SUV-led market trend, the Ertiga was India’s best-selling passenger vehicle in August 2025. With 18,445 units sold, it overtook rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire (16,509 units) and Hyundai Creta (15,924 units). Other strong performers in the top 10 included the WagonR, Tata Nexon, Brezza, Baleno, Fronx, Swift, and Eeco.
