Bihar Elections 2025: The key to power is now the hands of women! Every party is doing women’s vote bank. Bihar Elections 2025 Women Now Hold The Key To Power

Women voters are decisive in Bihar elections, whose vote percentage is more than men. NDA and Grand Alliance are enticing this caste-oriented vote bank with special schemes.

Patna: This time in Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, more importantly, more discussion is being done to women’s vote than the tussle of caste equation and alliance. Political experts believe that till now the game of election used to decide the caste and religious equations, but now the picture is changing. Women voters have emerged as the largest factor to decide the direction and condition of power.

Statistics that are changing politics

  • If you trust the figures, then the participation of women has been constantly ahead of men.
  • The 2015 assembly elections had a total turnout of 56.88%. Women cast 60.48% votes in this, while men’s participation was just 53.3%.
  • The same trend continued in the 2020 assembly elections. In 57.02% total polling, women share 56.6% and men’s 54.45%.
  • In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the voting percentage of women was 59.58%, while only 54.9% of men.
  • Statistics of the last 10 years show that women were ahead of men every time voting. That is, the real key of power in Bihar is now the hands of women.

NDA Election Masterstroke

The ruling NDA has played a big bet to help the women’s vote bank. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar have jointly launched the Mahila Employment Scheme. Under this, 10 thousand rupees will be transferred directly to every woman’s account.

In addition, the government has made several announcements for Anganwadi servants, Asha workers, livelihoods and female teachers. Nitish Kumar believes that if women are self -sufficient, family and society will be strong, and this is the key to the development of Bihar.

Grand Alliance

The opposition is also not far behind. RJD and Congress together have announced the ‘My-Bahin Yojana’. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 2500 has been promised to needy women every month, free health facility for the family and land in the name of women to landless families.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi said at Patna rally that “women have always given strength to the politics of change, but the BJP-JDU government has only given them only promises and cheating.” At the same time, Tejashwi Yadav said that “women are not just vote banks, but the axis of Bihar’s development.”

Women’s vote bank above ethnic and religious boundaries

The women’s vote bank is also special because it is not tied to the caste boundaries. According to the data, Yadav women in Bihar 14.46%, Scheduled Caste Women 19.6%, Muslim women 17.8%, while women from Rajput, Bhumihar, Brahmin and other classes are also in large numbers.

Political parties know that if these votes are united and moved in one direction, then the entire electoral mathematics can change. This is the reason that every party is making announcements and promises to drag women voters into their court.

Lessons from other states

This trend may be new in Bihar, but other states of the country already exist. In Jharkhand, the ‘Maiya Samman Yojana’ brought back the power of Hemant Soren. At the same time, BJP’s ‘Ladli Laxmi Yojana’ in Madhya Pradesh overturned the election picture. In such a situation, it is now believed that women in Bihar can play a decisive role. This is the same vote bank that the winning party can reach the throne of power.
