Farah Khan cites Deepika Padukone’s schedule as cook Dilip wants to invite star

In a recent vlog with her cook Dilip, filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan shared a lighthearted moment at actor Rohit Saraf’s home.

When Rohit’s mother made her first-ever on-camera appearance, Farah quipped that it didn’t even take Deepika Padukone as long to say yes to her projects.

During the episode, Rohit revealed that his mother appeared on camera for the very first time, and only for Farah’s vlog. In response, Farah warmly hugged the actor’s mother and said, “Haan itna time to Deepika Padukone ne nahi lagaya mujhe haan bolne mein (Even Deepika Padukone did not take that much time to say yes to me).”

Later, when Dilip asked, “Deepika Padukone Ma’am kab aayengi humare show mein (When will Deepika Padukone Ma’am appear on our show)?” To this, Farah replied, “Jis din tu gaon jaayega naa us din aayengi (She will appear the day you go to your village).” She further said, “Deepika Padukone ab sirf 8 ghanta shoot karti hain, usko show pe aane ka time nahi hai (Deepika Padukone shoots only for 8 hours now, she doesn’t have time to come to our show).”

After embracing motherhood and welcoming her daughter, Dua, in September 2024, Deepika was in the news for her exit from ‘Spirit’ and the ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ sequel. Following her departure, there was public discussion regarding her reported new working conditions, particularly the much-talked-about 8-hour work schedule.

Deepika made her acting debut in Farah’s directorial ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007), opposite Shah Rukh Khan. She also collaborated with Farah and Shah Rukh in ‘Happy New Year’ (2014). Her last Bollywood release was director Siddharth Anand’s aerial action thriller ‘Fighter’ opposite Hrithik Roshan.

She recently shared an Instagram post, confirming her for his home-production ‘King’. The Sujoy Ghosh film is set to mark the big screen debut of SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan, and also features Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Raghav Juyal, Arshad Warsi, Abhay Verma, and Anil Kapoor in key roles.

Deepika is also a part of Atlee’s sci-fi film with Allu Arjun,
