Ram Yashvardhan Says Social Media Is Not His Resume, Prefers to Keep It Real

Actor Ram Yashvardhan, known for his work in mythological and drama shows, says he does not treat social media as a professional resume and prefers his online presence to reflect his life away from the camera.

Yashvardhan rose to prominence with his portrayal of Lord Shiva in ‘Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyaag Taandav’ and is now preparing to play Duryodhana in the upcoming epic drama ‘Agyaatvaas’.

Speaking about his approach to social media, the actor said he does not make calculated efforts to build a particular brand image online.

“When it comes to social media presence, I don’t put in any extra or calculated brand efforts. The way I am in real life, I am the same on my social media. I don’t consider it as my resume. It is me, it is my life and how happy I am. So I don’t do anything extra for social media,” he said.

At the same time, Yashvardhan acknowledged that maintaining a social media presence has become important for actors, particularly in an industry where an artist’s online image can influence public perception.

“It is definitely important. For all actors, it is important to manage and maintain it, to maintain whatever image they want to portray. And they should do it,” he said, adding that even good artists need to pay attention to their social media presence today.

The actor admitted, however, that he is not particularly active online and considers that a drawback.

“I personally like having a social media presence, but I am not able to do it much. That is a bit of a negative point for me,” he said.

Away from work, Yashvardhan described himself as a family-oriented person and a fitness enthusiast. When he is not shooting, he said, he spends time with his parents, wife and sister, enjoying their time together and unwinding at home.

Exercise, he added, has been an integral part of his routine for a long time. He said his day begins with exercise and that he continues to make time for the gym even when he moves away from his fitness goals.

“I feel my biggest way to unwind is the gym, when I am not shooting,” he said.

Yashvardhan also revealed that he occasionally writes, including movie dialogues and shayari, describing it as a small creative outlet that he turns to whenever he feels like writing.
