Malini Sharma is back in the spotlight, more than two decades after she became a familiar face to Bollywood fans with Raaz. The actress, who played the ghost in the 2002 horror film, has now gone viral for a very different reason.
Sharma has moved away from the Bollywood limelight and is now running a farmstay in the Sahyadri Hills near Pune. Her quieter life recently caught the internet’s attention, bringing a wave of visitors and messages her way.
Who Is Malini Sharma And Why Is She Viral Now?
For those who remember Raaz, Malini Sharma played the haunting ghost in the Vikram Bhatt directorial. Her appearance in the film, along with her presence in the popular song Aapke Pyaar Mein, made her recognisable to audiences at the time. Malini Sharma had already worked as a model and appeared in music videos before making her Bollywood debut. She later featured in the television series C.A.T.S. before gradually stepping away from acting and the entertainment industry. Years later, Malini Sharma’s farmstay has brought her back into the public eye. Pictures and videos from The Slow Local, her property in the Sahyadri Hills near Pune, began circulating online. Fans soon realised that the woman behind the peaceful farmstay was the same actor they had seen in Raaz.
Malini Sharma Asks Fans To WhatsApp Her Farmstay
The sudden attention has been overwhelming for Malini Sharma. In a video shared on social media, she thanked people for their messages and support but also had a small request. “Hi, this is Malini Sharma with The Slow Local diaries. Aap logon ne toh kamaal kar diya. Iski mujhe bilkul umeed nahi thi. Thank you, gratitude,” she said. Malini Sharma explained that The Slow Local is a small farmstay and the team has been struggling to manage the sudden increase in calls. “Par ek chhoti si request hai. Hamara farmstay bahut chhota sa hai aur itni saari calls farmstay wale numbers pe process karna hamare liye mushkil ho raha hai,” she said. She requested people to WhatsApp the property instead of calling. Sharma also acknowledged that her Instagram inbox had been flooded with messages and said she would try to respond to everyone.
From Raaz To A Much Quieter Life
Today, Malini Sharma’s life looks very different from her days in Bollywood. Through The Slow Local, she is focused on food, nature and running the farmstay rather than films and television. Her sudden return to the public conversation is therefore less about a comeback and more about fans discovering what happened to a familiar face from their past. And this time, they found her living a life far removed from the world that first made her famous.
