Netflix’s show Operation Safed Sagar received a lot of love from the masses and critics. It was released on OTT last month, and it starred Jimmy Shergill, Siddharth, Abhay Verma, Mihir Ahuja, Taaruk Raina, Dia Mirza, Prajakta Koli and others in key roles. Akshat Saxena, who is a commercial pilot by profession, made his acting debut with Operation Safed Sagar as the Indian Air Force officer. Recently, in an exclusive interaction with Zoom, the actor opened up about his feelings after being a part of Operation Safed Sagar. He also revealed that his father had been a part of the operations during the Kargil War 1999.
Akshat Saxena On Acting In Operation Safed Sagar
During a candid chat with us, Akshat Saxena revealed that marks his acting debut. He had earlier worked as a commercial pilot for many years. He left his job 3 years ago and started focusing on acting. When asked how he feels about being a part of Operation Safed Sagar, he said, “It feels wonderful to be a part of Operation Safed Sagar. I feel happy with the fact that my acting journey started with the show like Operation Safed Sagar. When I got to know that there is a show being made on Operation Safed Sagar, I got very happy. When I was approached for it, I felt like a top of this world, as it is very close to my heart.”
While speaking about his casting, said, “I was approached by a casting director after he saw me in the play that I did in Delhi. This show is very special for me.”
Akshat Saxena On His Father
Akshat Saxena lost his father a few years ago. He revealed his father was a pilot in the Indian Air Force. He said, “My father had been a part of Operation Safed Sagar. He was a pilot of the Mirage 2000 in the Indian Air Force. He did a lot of missions in Operation Safed Sagar.”

Akshat also recalled how his father would share war stories with him and his friends. The actor said, “I was 8 when the happened. They would never tell us about operations or missions just to protect the family and their emotions. I have heard a lot of stories from my father and his friends. I remember my father would take us on picnics, and I used to play in the old fighter jets.”
