Indonesia’s Mount Sinabung has erupted on Sumatra island, sending a huge plume of volcanic ash into the sky and blanketing nearby areas. Authorities have raised the alert level and imposed a safety zone around the volcano as residents are warned to stay away amid fears of further eruptions.
