The first glimpse of Nagarjuna’s milestone 100th film, ‘King100’, has been unveiled, offering a brief but intriguing look at the world created by director Ra Karthik.
The glimpse features Nagarjuna himself providing the voiceover, with the actor discussing the divide between the wealthy and the underprivileged. The visuals appear to establish a contrast between the two sections of society, with the rich being portrayed as successful while the poor are looked down upon.
A news report about a scam, accompanied by Nagarjuna’s photograph, adds another layer of mystery to his character. The actor is also shown in a markedly different, underprivileged appearance, including a shot where he is seen holding a baby.
The makers have kept details about the storyline and Nagarjuna’s character under wraps, leaving the glimpse open to interpretation.
‘King100’ is being produced by Annapurna Studios and marks Ra Karthik’s Telugu directorial debut. The filmmaker has previously directed ‘Nitham Oru Vaanam’ and ‘Made in Korea’.
Tabu plays a significant role in the film, bringing her back together with Nagarjuna after their earlier collaborations in films such as ‘Ninne Pelladatha’ and ‘Aavida Maa Aavide’.
The project reportedly revolves around two friends, with Tamil actor Ravindra Vijay said to be playing Nagarjuna’s friend. The team recently filmed portions in Mysuru, where veteran actor Sai Kumar joined the cast. Sushmitha Bhat is also part of the project.
Raja Mahadhevan is handling cinematography, Navin Nooli is editing and Sathees Kumar N is responsible for production design. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music.
The makers are yet to reveal the film’s genre and complete plot details. ‘King100’ is scheduled to arrive in theatres on December 24.
