Several people in the area said that this is a matter of faith and the government is trying to divert attention from the issue of vote theft by politicizing it. A young man also said that if anyone speaks ill of Prophet Mohammad, the Muslim community will not remain silent.

BJP leaders have been strictly instructed to stay away from any controversy and avoid unnecessary statements. Leaders have been told not to make any statements on such issues without permission.

Union ministers have also been asked to refrain from making statements on this issue. Meanwhile, Congress leader Mohsin Haider said, “Our party never engages in politics in the name of religion. We believe that the maulana who raised the issue regarding Yogi Adityanath in Beed district, Maharashtra, is deliberately orchestrating it. Islam never teaches such things.”
