Adhikmas Bhanu Saptami 2026 Date: It is believed in Hindu religion that by worshiping Sun God, a person is blessed with health, fame, energy and success. When Saptami Tithi falls on Sunday, then it is called Bhanu Saptami or Surya Saptami. According to the Panchang, in the year 2026, Bhanu Saptami of Adhikamas will be celebrated on 7th June. This day is considered very auspicious for sun worship. Bhanu Saptami, which will fall during Adhikamas in the year 2026, has been said to have special religious significance. It is believed that by worshiping Sun God with devotion and rituals on this day, many troubles of life are removed and special virtues are attained.
According to mythological beliefs, on this auspicious date, Lord Surya Dev appeared for the first time riding on a chariot of seven horses and he enlightened the entire world with his brilliance. It is believed in the scriptures that the virtuous results of Sun worship done on the day of Bhanu Saptami are equal to the charity done at the time of solar eclipse. 7th or 8th June, when will Bhanu Saptami be celebrated?
According to Drik Panchang, Saptami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Adhikamas will start on 7th June 2026 at 2.40 am and will end on 8th June 2026 at 3.24 am. However, in the Hindu calendar, the date of any fast and festival is determined on the basis of Udaya Tithi i.e. the date present at the time of sunrise. Since Saptami Tithi will remain at the time of sunrise on 7th June and this day is also Sunday, hence Bhanu Saptami of Adhikamas will be celebrated on 7th June 2026 only.

According to religious beliefs, Bhanu Saptami Worshiping Lord Sun on this day brings positive energy into life. Sun God is considered to be the factor of soul, health, leadership, respect and success. Bhanu Saptami worship method
On the day of Bhanu Saptami, wake up in Brahma Muhurta and take bath and wear clean clothes. After this, fill water in a copper pot and add red flowers, Akshat and Roli in it. Offer this water to the rising Sun and chant Surya mantras. During the puja, it is considered auspicious to offer red flowers, jaggery, wheat and red clothes to the Sun God and recite Aditya Hridaya Stotra or Surya Chalisa.
