Mahakumbh Fire Safety Team: The Yogi government’s fire safety model of Prayagraj Mahakumbh has become a role model for other states of the country. The team was awarded at the international ceremony organized by the Institute of Fire Engineers India, Mumbai.

Prayagraj Mahakumbh has been awarded the huge fire accidents and public loss in Maharashtra with its skills, strategy and quick response. Maharashtra is the third state to appreciate and honor the team on Prayagraj’s fire safety model.
Now fire safety team in Maharashtra too
Mahakumbh waved Paracham Paracham in Goregaon, Maharashtra in Goregaon, Institute of Fire Engineers India, at an international level ceremony organized by the Mahakumbh Mela 2025, the fire and emergency service team has been awarded the Fire and Safety Excellence Award which is awarded to the Fire and Safety. The award was given to the team by US Chillar, Director General of Institute of Fire Engineers India. Those who were honored in the team include IPS Padmaja Chauhan, who led the team in Mahakumbh, Pramod Kumar Sharma, the nodal officer of the fire safety of Mahakumbh, and Chief Fire Officer Ankush Mittal. ADG Padmaja Chauhan, who is leading the fire and emergency service and women’s safety organization, said that under the efficient guidance of the Chief Minister in Mahakumbh-25, the officers and employees of UP fire and emergency service successfully controlled the biggest fire accidents on the strength of their tireless hard work and the target of zero life. CFO Pramod Sharma, who was a nodal officer in Mahakumbh, said that the officials and employees of UP Fire and Emergency Services played a special role in making Mahakumbh-2025 successful in realizing the resolution of CM Yogi’s safe Mahakumbh.
Awards also received from Maharashtra’s first Delhi and Goa
This team of Mahakumbh has also won the awards for their skills in Goa and Delhi, the first of Maharashtra. Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, who was leading fire and emergency service at a program concluded in Mahakumbh, was honored at a program held in Goa, ADG Padmaja Chauhan (IPS) and Mahakumbh Mela, who was the nodal officer of fire and emergency service, CFO Pramod Sharma, who was the nodal officer of the emergency service, honored the special preparations and Quick Responsults for Mahakumbh. Similarly, this team was honored by praising the achievements of the fire department of Uttar Pradesh during the Mahakumbh Mela 2025 in an international level program organized by the FSAI (Fire and Security Association of India), which was held at Yashobhumi Convention Hall in Dwarka region of the country’s capital Delhi. In 2025, more than 66.5 crore devotees took a dip in the holy confluence at the world’s largest human conference, Mahakumbh on the confluence of Prayagraj. 4000 hectares set up 185 fire accidents with 24 major fire accidents in Mahakumbh Nagar settled. The team of UP Fire and Emergency Services Department, who was posted in this Mahakumbh, controlled fire accidents without any loss of life in Maha Kumbh with their state-of-the-art equipment and promptness and saved money loss of more than Rs 16.5 crore. In the team, 1500 trained firefighters and firefighters and emergency service (Specially Trained Rescue Group) and 351 were the fire officer of the fire and emergency service to be the nodal officer of this team with fire vehicles.
