Speaking to a news agency, the actor said that he doesn’t mind it if the statements were made in jest. According to him, we should learn to laugh at oursevles and at each other. At the same, we must still not get hurt and offended. The actor further shared an incident that happened when he was 18.

On India’s Got Latent 2, by saying, “She’s so Bihari, she thinks Ebola means someone said something.” Reacting to it, the comedian said that Samay is so Kashmiri that ‘he loves getting stoned’. Their banter didn’t stop here. Raina stated that Sharon is a Bihari who came to Mumbai in search of a job. “Just Bihari things.” To this, Verma mentioned, “At least I left my state by my choice.”

Sharing this thoughts about the controversy, Manoj told IANS, “We should have humor about ourselves but at the same time we should have respect, not only for ourselves but also for the person that you are sitting with and where that person comes from.” The actor believes that if two people are easy with each other, they always laugh at each other.
When Bus Driver Called Manoj Bajpayee ‘Bihari’
Continuing the conversation, the actor recalled the time a bus driver spoke harshly to him. Going down memory lane, Manoj revealed when he was 18, he tried getting into a bus from the front time as he didn’t know rules of the city. As soon as the driver noticed, he told , “Aye Bihari board from the back gate.”

Although the actor is from Bihar, the driver didn’t actually know the actor belongs to that state. “So, for him, every person who was doing that kind of a foolish mistake was from Bihar. I didn’t mind it because first, he was right that I was from Bihar.” That said, the actor feels he wasn’t wrong too. It is because he was new to the city and was unfamiliar about certain things.
