Sivakarthikeyan’s first collaboration with ace director AR Murugadoss, Madharaasi, released in theatres on Septermber 5. Following the lukewarm performance of films like Darbar and Sikandar, AR Murugadoss has made a solid come back with the action film which opened to positive reports.

Madharaasi On OTT: Sivakarthikeyan’s Film Set To Stream On THIS Platform
Amazon Prime Video has announced that the film will release on its platform from October 1 onwards. The film will stream in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages. The special video announcement featured Sivakarthikeyan sharing the news with placards.
The film crossed Rs 100 crore mark. To celebrate it, the film crew, including AR Murugadoss, composer Anirudh, and Sivakarthikeyan, cut a cake and shared their happiness The video and picture from the Madharaasi success party went viral on social media, and the team’s happiness reflects the film’s box office triumph.
The film also starred Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Biju Menon and Vikranth in prominent roles.
The film also featured Aadukalam Naren, Thalaivasal Vijay, and Siddhartha Shankar, among others, play important supporting characters in the film. The technical crew of Madharaasi includes Anirudh Ravichander as the music composer, Sudeep Elamon as the cinematographer, and Sreekar Prasad as the editor.
Shah Rukh Khan Was Supposed To Do Madharaasi?
In a recent revelation, director AR Murgadoss shared that the project almost took shape in Bollywood, with none other than Shah Rukh Khan in the lead.
Speaking to Galatta Plus, Murugadoss said , “I didn’t plan the whole film with Shah Rukh Khan, but I did pitch the character to him long back. Around seven or eight years ago, I narrated the idea, and he liked it. At that stage, AR Murugadoss explained, the film existed only as a character sketch rather than a full script. “Back then, I only had the character, just an idea, not the full script. Cinematographer Ravi K Chandran had arranged a meeting with Shah Rukh. He was very sweet and said we’d do the film. But the delay stretched too long, and it never materialised.”
