Irumudi Becomes Ravi Teja’s Biggest Solo Hit As It Overtakes Dhamaka

Ravi Teja is having a great year in terms of work. The actor’s latest release, Irumudi, is breaking records at the box office. The Telugu superstar, who is also known as Mass Maharaja, is currently on cloud nine after delivering the biggest solo hit of his career. Ravi Teja has put an end to a run of underperforming films. He has made a strong return to the commercial spotlight. For the unversed, Ravi delivered six flops in a row since the second half of 2023. His last hit was Waltair Veerayya, which also starred Megastar Chiranjeevi in a pivotal role.

According to a Variety India report, Ravi Teja’s   has become the highest-grossing solo hit of his career. It has collected Rs 85.25 crore so far. The film is on track to enter the Rs 100 crore club by Saturday in the Indian market. If it happens, Irumudi will become Ravi Teja’s first solo film to cross the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office.

For the unversed, his Waltair Veerayya had earned Rs 161.06 crore at the box office. In the film,  played the supporting role. Irumudi surpassed Dhamaka’s collection. The film had collected Rs 63.83 crore at the box office. Before Irumudi, Ravanasura, Tiger Nageswara Rao, Eagle, Mr Bachchan, Mass Jathara and Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapathi failed miserably at the box office.

Irumudi has been directed by Shiva Nirvana. The film also features Priya Bhavani Shankar, Sai Kumar and Baby Nakshatra in supporting roles. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Irumudi is presented by T-Series with GV Prakash Kumar as the music composer. Apart from Telugu, the Ravi Teja starrer was also released in the Tamil-dubbed version, which is titled Iramudikattu.
