New Delhi: Indian students will now be able to get the premium Gemini AI Pro plan of Google free of charge for one year. This is a very generous scholarship which was only offered to U.S. students but is now offered to the eligible students in India. The plan is priced at Rs 19,500 a year and consists of the most advanced AI tools that can enhance learning and productivity.
Students who enrol will be able to use powerful tools like Gemini Advanced and Veo 3 to create text-to-video and 2TB Google Cloud storage. The strategy also incorporates Gemini in the most common Google programs, such as Gmail, Docs, and Drive, which will allow students to write, organise and manage their work effectively.

What’s included in the free plan?
After verification, students will have full access to Gemini Advanced, the most powerful AI in academics to summarise textbooks, write essays, and create creative content. Other products offered are Veo 3, which turns text prompts into dynamic videos, and NotebookLM Plus, which improves summarisation and audio overviews of learning resources.
Its other advantages consist of Whisk Animate, which transforms static images into brief animated videos that come in handy in projects and presentations. The students will also receive Gemini integration in Google Workspace apps that will improve workflow with Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Gmail. It is also packaged with a hefty 2TB storage in Drive, Gmail, and Photos.
How to apply for the free subscription
This offer can be redeemed at goo.gle/freepro by students. They will need to put their full name, date of birth, institution name and a valid student email address in order to apply. After the application has been received, Google will ensure that the information is valid, and then it allows access to the subscription.
There is no penalty in case the subscription is cancelled. This initiative by Google is meant to help students get the best tools that they can use to improve their creativity as well as performance.
