Himanshi Tokas, who hails from Delhi, has raised the value of India worldwide. She has become the world’s number-1 player in Judo. Her grandmother has a big hand behind this success of 20 -year -old Himanshi, who advised Himanshi not to leave judo. If Himanshi agreed to her mother, then today she would not have been able to create history in this game. These players from Munirka village in Delhi have reached the top of Judo’s junior women’s rankings. He is the first judoka in India to achieve this feat.
How did Himanshi become number-1?
Himanshi Judo How did you become such a big player? Its story is quite interesting. He told that in childhood, I was hurt while practicing judo in the house. This caused my eyes to swell and the body also suffered injuries. This made my mother very worried. He feared that a permanent mark on the face could interrupt my marriage.
Himanshi further told that my mother asked to leave judo. However, I did not do this and took admission in a local mixed martial arts academy in my neighborhood. If Himanshi had accepted her mother’s advice, she would not have created history. Himanshi has become the world’s number-1 player in the 63 kg weight category of junior women in Judo. Apart from this, Himanshi won the gold medal at the Asian Junior Championship in Indonesia last week and achieved the number-1 judoka in Asia.
Grandma and grandmother supported
In the junior women category, the world’s number-1 Judoka Himanshi further said that despite the strictness of the mother, my grandmother and grandmother supported me and asked me to continue judo. My grandmother was following me with a broom in her hand and was warning me not to leave the game. She was absolutely clear that I would not leave Judo.
Himanshi told that Judo It looks great to secure the first place for the country. I want to continue performing well and win more medals for India. Himanshi coach Yashpal Solanki said that Himanshi’s father Ravi Tokas had enrolled Himanshi in the Solanki Academy of Fitness and Combat Sports (AFACS) in Dwarka in the year 2020.
Himanshi’s father has also been judo players
Himanshi told the coach that Ravi and I are good friends. Himanshi’s father was a judo player and had participated in many tournaments, but he never adopted the game as a profession. Himanshi used to practice at a local club in Munirka, but the results were not coming well, so her father brought her to my academy. Himanshi has been taking coaching from me since then. Himanshi is currently training in coaching of Yashpal Solanki at the NCOE center of SAI in Bhopal.
