Suryakumar Yadav: India skipper likely to be fined, get demerit point for making ‘Pahalgam’ comment – Report

New Delhi: Suryakumar Yadav has completed the International Cricket Council (ICC) hearing over Pakistan’s complaint regarding the comments the India skipper made about the Pahalgam terror attack victims and the Indian Army in the post-match press conference on September 14.

According to RevSportz, Suryakumar attended the ICC hearing conducted by match referee Richie Richardson on Thursday. The India captain was accompanied by BCCI COO Hemang Amin and Cricket Operations Manager Sumeet Mallapurkar at the hearing. According to reports, Surya has been given an official warning and a fine or a demerit point is likely for the Indian skipper.

After hearing arguments from Surya’s side, Richardson is expected to deliver his verdict on Friday, ahead of Men In Blue’s final Super 4 match against Sri Lanka.
