PM Modi inaugurated UPITS 2025 to promote investment and development in UP. UP is becoming UP from GST Reforms, ODOP, Startups and indigenous products.

On the occasion of the inauguration of Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS-3RD Edition), Prime Minister Narendra Modi clearly stated that UP has now become the new center of investment and development. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present at the event held at India Expo Center and Mart, Greater Noida. On this occasion, PM Modi appealed to investors, industrialists and youth to invest in UP and set up new industries.

What did PM Narendra Modi say?

The Prime Minister said that the development of UP is not limited to figures only, but it is a lively example of Antyodaya model. Recalling the Antyodaya ideas of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, he said that development is necessary to the poor and the person sitting on the last rung. This model is leading UP and India towards social justice and economic prosperity today.

How did the Next Generation GST reform change UP economy?

PM Modi called the recently implemented Next Generation GST Reforms as historic. He said that this has not only brought relief to consumers, but has brought new energy in industry and trade. For example, in 2014, the shirt of Rs 1000 was taxed at Rs 170, which has now come down to only Rs 35. Similarly, tax on hair oil and face cream has come down to Rs 5. The tractor, three-wheeler and scooter-motorcycle also saved. The PM said that this has increased the annual savings of an average family to Rs 25,000 and overall the country is saving Rs 2.5 lakh crore. He said that these reforms are playing a decisive role in UP’s economy and the creation of self -reliant India.

Why is investment increasing in UP?

Prime Minister Modi said that Uttar Pradesh has now become the most attractive state for investors. There has been a revolution in connectivity here in the last few years. UP has the highest number of expressways and international airports. Projects like Dedicated Freight Corridor and Defense Corridor have made the state an industrial center. The PM told investors, “Invest in UP as this state is progressing rapidly under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. It has now become the new center of investment and development.”

ODOP and Handicrafts: New face of local industries of UP

In Uppets 2025, a special platform was created for Forest District Forest Products (ODOP) and handicrafts. PM Modi said that it is now possible to bring local products to the international market. Through the GEM portal, 2.5 million sellers, including small shopkeepers, are supplying to the government. This initiative has given a new life to small scale industries and MSME. The Prime Minister appealed to investors and industrialists to support local artisans and industries, so that UP can grow and increase employment.

Why are indigenous and durable products necessary?

PM Modi emphasized the need to adopt indigenous and sustainable products. He said that “Today the countrymen say proudly – ‘This is indigenous’. We have to strengthen this feeling further.” He informed that user friendly and durable products will make indigenous credibility. It is not only a means of economic profit, but the identity of self -sufficient India.

UP’s growing role in defense and semiconductor sector

The production of AK-203 rifles in UP for self-sufficiency in defense sector is going to start in collaboration with Russia. Also, the Defense Corridor will become the center of weapons. UP is rapidly becoming the center of global investment and production in the semiconductor sector. The new facility near Greater Noida will further strengthen India’s technical self -reliance.

New opportunity for employment and startups in UP

PM Modi said that youth in UP are now becoming job creators, not just jobs. CM Yuva Udyami Yojana and PM Startup/Standup Schemes have made it possible. Upits 2025 gave special platform to startups, MSME, Women Entrepreneur and ODOP products. This is opening new employment and investment opportunities.

The Prime Minister said that despite the uncertainties of the world, India is in search of new directions. UP’s connectivity, youth and skilled workforce, dynamic consumer base and democratic stability make it the most attractive for investment. The PM stressed that the progress of UP is the foundation of self -sufficient and developed India.
