RUM Group CEO Vows Quake AI Will Challenge CoreWeave, Nebius: Retail Speculates Mystery $13.7B GPU Customer

RUM Group (RUM) stock is in focus after the company secured a six-year, $13.7 billion GPU services deal with an unnamed U.S. cloud customer, boosting its Quake AI ambitions and sparking retail buzz. CEO Chris Pavlovski said the unit will compete with CoreWeave, Nebius and other neoclouds. 

RUM’s Quake AI Targets Neocloud Rivals

The free-speech-focused video platform Rumble, alongside its Quake AI division, has secured what could become a transformative deal for its AI infrastructure business, announcing a six-year agreement worth about $13.7 billion with an unidentified U.S. cloud customer. The contract gives Quake AI a major foothold as the company seeks to challenge established neocloud operators.

The deal covers GPU capacity and related services at RUM Group’s planned Georgia data center. The $13.7 billion deal is split into three parts, with the final part depending on the customer approving the delivery schedule. 

RUM has expanded its AI ambitions after acquiring a majority stake in Northern Data earlier this year. It has also secured GPU capacity commitments involving Together AI and Nvidia-powered systems.RUM stock edged 0.1% higher overnight, Tuesday. 

RUM CEO Pavlovski Raises The Stakes

RUM CEO Chris Pavlovski made the company’s competitive ambitions clear in a post on X, saying, “I’ve never been shy about $RUM Group’s ambitions — our Quake AI division is a real player, and we will fiercely compete with the likes of CoreWeave, Nebius and all neoclouds.”

The deal also calls for a warrant that could give the customer access to 50.8 million RUM shares for just $0.01 apiece. Portions of the award depend on purchases under the current agreement, while additional shares could become available if the customer expands its commitments. The warrant has a 10-year term.

RUM Retail Traders Search For Clues

The customer’s identity remains undisclosed, prompting speculation among retail investors. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the stock improved to ‘extremely bullish’ from ‘bullish’ territory the previous day. 

A user said, “The strongest Google clue: the $0.01 warrant,” and added, “Google has done remarkably similar penny-warrant transactions: Deal Warrant. Google / TeraWulf 73.58M shares @ $0.01. Google / Cipher 24.18M shares @ $0.01.”

Another user said, “Apple HOPEFULLY is mystery customer running the hardware with Google SOFTWARE AI PROPRIETARY TO Apple ecosystem. They did a similar deal with Globalstar the satellite company.” 

RUM stock has gained 48% year-to-date.
